Can't believe how quickly May has flown by! Summer is so close, I can almost taste the sea spray! This month I have been basically using the same beauty products over and over again and can honestly say that I am obsessed!

SexyHair | Soy Renewal

 I've basically used up that whole bottle in this one month. It seriously makes my hair feel so soft and healthy and it smells absolutely amazing. 

Boo-Boo Coverup Concealer 

This concealer does wonders for my blemishes. The changing weather has really made me break out and it has been my savior. The great thing about it is that a little goes a long way and it's got great coverage. 

bareMinerals | Mineral Veil 

bareMinerals has done awesome with this finishing powder. It perfectly sets my foundation or tinted moisturizer and doesn't feel cakey at all.

Benefit | they're Real! push-up liner

Benefit's new gel liner AMAZING. It's not out yet, but I got to test drive it after getting a sample from Generation Beauty, I’ve used it almost every day this week! I’ll be doing a review on it so look out for that! 

Tarte | Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer - Medium Tan

I’m not a big fan of heavy face makeup simply because I hate the way it feels like my face is clogged up. For that reason, I stick to tinted moisturizers and lighter foundations and have fallen in love with this one. It feels so light, almost like I’m not wearing anything and it doesn’t grease up my face later on in the day. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something with lighter coverage. 

City Color | Be Matte Blush - Fresh Melon

I’ve literally worn this blush everyday for the past month. It’s great for summer because it’s more of a vibrant pink than I’m used to, but goes on so naturally. 

Nyx | Lipliner Pencil - 860 Peekaboo Neutral x Lancôme | Cream Lipstick - Love it!

This liner and lipstick pair has been my go-to this month. The pink is so subtle but adds the perfect amount of color.

Nyx | Love in Paris - Eat Cake

Just got this pallet recently, but I am absolutely loving the blushy hues on it. It kind of reminds me of the Naked 3 pallet, but different! A good different. Blush/pink toned eye shadows are totally in at the moment and I definitely haven’t gotten sick of them yet.

Pretty Pink Pencil

SO excited to finally do a post about this ASTR pencil skirt! I bought it a little bit ago and just haven't worn it, but here it is! I've been really into textures lately and this skirt is the perfect combo of texture and lace. It was a statement in itself so I did a little half tuck with my gray Gap tee and paired it with neutral heels. I kept my jewelry to a minimum with a girly, pink statement necklace. To add a little toughness to the mix, I grabbed my mom's old Chloe bag to change things up a bit. How would you pair a statement midi?

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAYS | Michelle Phan

This past weekend I went to Generation beauty and had the pleasure of meeting Michelle Phan. I've been subscribed to her YouTube channel for a while now and to actually see in person was so awesome! (definitely fangirled a little) She's as sweet in person as she is in her videos and so down to earth too. 

She's such an inspiring person who shows that through determination, perseverance, and hard work anyone can achieve their dreams. Not only is a she a successful beauty guru, but also the head of her own makeup line!

Espadrille Envy

Lately I've been absolutely obsessed with espadrille flats. They are the perfect transition shoe from spring to summer and they go with just about anything! From boyfriend jeans to sundresses, they add that little extra something. So far I've only picked up a pair of classic striped ones, but after seeing the selection Nordstrom has, I'm pretty sure I'll be getting another pair. Nordy's is still having their half yearly sale, so it was definitely meant to be. My biggest problem is that I won't know which style to pick! So many options, which ones would you pick?!

Boyfriend Blues

Hope you all had a relaxing, sale-filled MDW! I know I did, definitely took advantage of those sales. I picked up these Gap Sexy Boyfriend Jeans on sale for 40% off. I think they're still 30% off online! So go get you some! I paired it with this cute blouse from Nordstrom and these Calvin Klein Caliana Heels for a more casual vibe. I've been looking for a good pair of boyfriend jeans for so long, and am so excited to have finally found some. They're so versatile and can be easily dressed up or down, you'll be sure to see more of them!

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAYS | Memorial Day

What better motivation than the brave men and women who defend our country?! I think a lot of us forget about what Memorial Day is really about. Sure, there are really great sales, but we need to remember that these honorable human beings sacrificed their lives to protect all of us back home. They were brave enough to put their lives on the line for something they believe in.

Pineapples & Leather

So the weather here in SoCal has been so strange lately. Last week it was literally scorching, and this week it's cooled down so much and almost threatens to rain! I mean, rain is typical for "spring", but there is no such thing in SoCal. The weather range is like hothothot (summer) to warm (winter) with like week of actual weather. But anyway, with the recent cool down, I was so excited for a chance to wear this jacket!

It's an Ella Moss jacket I bought on sale, and I never had the opportunity to wear it! It had really cute leather panels on the shoulders and leather trim, so I paired it with my FAVE pair of pleather leggings. I threw it on over my new Sincerely Jules Summer Collection tee. I must say I absolutely love that tee shirt, it's so incredibly comfortable. You'll definitely be seeing a lot more of it.. Anyways! To accessorize, I threw on this statement necklace that my sister gave me (Aldo) and it definiely dressed up the tee and leggings.

It's time for my monthly Glam Bag goodies! Soo, I was pretty excited when I got my package in the mail and felt how heavy it was. But I'm not gonna lie, when I opened it I was a little disappointed at what I found inside. I'm pretty picky when it comes to skin care since I have pretty sensitive skin and that seemed to be the theme this month. The sample sizes were still pretty hefty so I can't really complain, but I don't think I'll be using the sunscreen or the facial wipes. BUT I am pretty excited about the hair mask, it smells AMAZING. I wish I could share it with you guys, and I can't wait to put it in my hair! The shadow duo is nice, but they keep sending me the same colors.. I've barely even touched what they sent me before. Overall, I'd give this month's bag a C+. I get that summer's coming and it's all about the skin care, but I'm hoping for something a little more exciting next month! 

Despite the let down, I still love my Glam Bags! They are SO worth it, 50 bucks worth of samples for only $10 a month! That's like two and half trips to Starbucks.. definitely justified!

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAYS | Eye of the Tiger

So I've decided to start a series called Motivational Mondays (original, I know). Since Mondays have such a dreary reputation, I'm hoping that a little inspiration will bring positivity to start off my week and yours! 

I've always been a huge fan of wild cats. Tigers, Leopards, Lions, Jaguars, you name it. Felines are so beautifully fierce and intelligent. It's no wonder why women are always been compared to them! Jungle cats are known to stalk their prey for hours before finally going in for the kill. Their eyes are so intense yet so majestic, it's hard not to be captivated by them. That's why I chose a tiger for my motivation this week. 

Lately, I've been having trouble keeping my eyes on the prize and am having a hard time staying focused on my goals. I'm hoping that channeling my inner feline will bring back my drive and determination. If it worked for Rocky, it can work for me!

@THEMOMENT | True Blues

With Spring well under way, I've really been breaking out the pastels. This year, I find myself reaching for light blue hues, which is unusual for me (more of pink/orange type of girl). There's just something refreshing about accent blues and it really gets me excited about spring. Blue accessories have mostly been catching my eye, and it just so happened that my mom brought me back some from her trip to Spain! To me, blues are crisp and fresh making them a perfect go-to for the season. What's your favorite spring hue?

Spring Florals

Top & Trouser: Nordstrom | Shoes: Shoemint | Bag: Dailylook

 I let the pants shine as my statement piece and went with classic white and black shades as accents. For my top, I picked a slightly more dressy version of a t-shirt and did a little front tuck just to keep the look more polished. I also used my accessories and shoes to dress up the pants, since track pants tend to look slightly sloppier. Unfortunately, I'm such a baby and hate when garment tags itch and cut them out of my top and my trousers. But I did manage to find similar pants here. I hope you're all enjoying the springtime as much as I am!

Easter Funday

Hello my loves!

Nothing means spring time like Easter Sunday. So whether you're going to Easter service, Easter brunch, or just Easter egg hunting, it's the perfect occasion to put on that pretty pastel number. These are some that I've found while browsing on Shopbop and I thought they would be perfect for all different kinds of Easter festivities. Just throw on a sun hat and some wedges and you're good to go! The flirty hems and fun colors put me in such a good mood and I love that you can wear them anytime during the season. Spring Essentials

                                                                                                                                                                                           

Hello my loves! 

I've been in a great mood recently and it's probably because flowers are blooming and days are getting longer! That only means one thing.. SPRING is almost here! Buut since I live in Southern Cali, it's basically been here (no such thing as winter in SoCal).

I guess you could say that I've caught the Spring Fever. Pretty pastels have been popping up everywhere and I can't wait to get my hands on some. Before I run out and splurge, I had to make sure I had all of the basics for spring. So here are some of my fave spring essentials to give you a jumpstart on the season! 

1. | SUNDRESSES | You can bet that I'll be in a sundress the instant the weather warms up. Flirty sundresses just put in me in an amazing mood and get me all revved up for the warmer months to come. ☀☀

2. | SKIRTS | Mini, midi, maxi, I love 'em all! But I feel extra feminine and girly with all the pastels and this peach, pleated maxi is absolutely gorgeous. Maxis are great in the spring since they cover up my pasty winter legs until I work up that bronzed glow. ☀ 

3. | KNIT SWEATER |These are the perfect transition tops into the spring because they are light enough to keep you looking chic during the day, but warm enough to keep you comfy at night. You can basically wear them over anything, from dresses to jeans. ☀

4. | BOYFRIEND JEANS | Do these even need an explanation? These casual bottoms are a must in the spring because that add that perfect amount of coolness to any outfit. ☀

5. | SPF MOISTURIZER | Just because the sun isn't strong enough to burn you yet doesn't mean it's not doing damage. Daily moisturizer with SPF is a necessity for me year round, but spring means that I'll be spending more time outdoors and skin protection is a MUST. Always use SPF 15 and above! ☀

6. | CROSSBODY | You can definitely use these year round, but I find myself using heavier shoulder bags during the fall and winter seasons. So I opt for lighter and more convenient bags as I spend more time outdoors. ☀ 

7. | SUNNIES | Sunnier days = fabulous shades. ☀ 

8. | FLATS | It's finally time to give your feet a break from heavy boots and break out those comfy flats. They go with just about everything! Just slip 'em on and head out for a stroll in the sun. ☀ 

9. | DENIM JACKETS | Pop one of these babies over a pastel sundress and you're instantly chic. The days aren't warm enough for bare arms just yet, and these do just the trick to keep you looking fresh. ☀ 

10. |UMBRELLA | As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers. Having a patterned umbrella handy is a necessity for those random spring rains. Plus they add brightness to gloomier days. ☀

11. | STRIPED TOPS | For whatever reason, I love the contrast between girly pastels and bold stripes. So I love having a striped top around to throw a little something to the mix. ☀
